When I finish my tattooing, the responsibility of taking care of it and keeping it clean will 100% depend on you.
When you leave, the tattoo will be covered. Leave it covered for 1-2 hours.
After the 1-2 hours, it is time to do the first cleaning. To clean your tattoo:
First, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
Remove the covering and throw it away.
Gently wash the tattoo with cold water and antibacterial soap, and rinse thoroughly. Do not use a towel to dry it, instead let it air dry, letting the skin absorb the clean water naturally.
Two hours later, repeat this cleaning process again.
Four hours later, you will start to use a lotion called Aquafor. First, repeat the cleaning process: wash your hands, then wash your tattoo, air dry, then apply the Aquafor in a thin layer. Repeat this process every four hours for four days. Be careful to not apply too much of the lotion at a time as it may irritate the skin.
Ideally, your tattoo will be uncovered and clean while it is healing. If its location is under your clothing, be sure to wear clean, loose-fitting clothes to minimize damage to the skin’s healing process.
Drink lots of water. It is important to stay hydrated during the healing process. However, do not soak in water, pool, Jacuzzi, go swimming, etc. as that can harm the healing process.
Your tattoo may itch or tingle as it heals; it is your responsibility to not scratch it and not damage or remove any scabs. Doing so may remove the ink from the skin. Remember that touch-ups will have a cost that covers the materials.
